Iris Ann Eller (89), of Midway, WV passed away on May 13, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, VA from complications of a stroke. She had recently been making her home at Liberty Ridge Senior Living Community in Lynchburg, VA. Iris was born on October 22, 1933, in Stotesbury, WV to Leonard and Nettie Miller Eastman. Iris grew up in Sophia, WV where she attended Sophia High School graduating in 1952. She participated in many activities during her high school journey, cheerleader being her favorite. After high school, she briefly attended Beckley College before marrying her high school sweetheart, Jack Eller. After marrying, Iris was a homemaker enjoying her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking and was well-known for her biscuits and gravy, mashed potatoes, and her fried apples.

Iris was preceded in death by her husband Jack Eller and her daughter Pamela Howerton. Iris is survived by her daughter Debbie (Dr. John) Martin of Lynchburg, VA; granddaughter Terra (James) Baker of Lewisburg, WV, and grandson Dr. Matthew (Cari) Stover of South Charleston, WV; great grandchildren Briana (Roy Davis) Adams of Shady Springs, WV, Chelsie Baker of Covington, VA, Hunter Baker of Lewisburg WV, Emma and Charlotte Stover of South Charleston, WV; and great-great grandson Ruger Davis of Shady Springs, WV.

Funeral services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Friday, May 19, 2023. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM with the funeral at 2:00 PM and burial immediately following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
