My grandfather Ben Eller took my mom from his home when my grandmother Myrtle insisted on her father moving in, to his Aunt Sara (House) and Uncle Harry Long's home when she was only 6 months old. They raised her as their own.
My grandfather had another daughter with my grandmother, named Mary. They divorced and he moved to Fernadina Beach, Florida where he was a baker. He learned to bake in the Army during WWII. He would bake goodies for my mom when she was in college and send her care packages. She said when those packages arrived, everyone was in her room.
Granddad was married a total of 4 times.
His last wife was Joan, who is originally from England. During their marriage he left and ended up at our house (a nice surprise) when I was a teenager. That was wonderful because he would always tell my mom not to punish or fuss at me (his little angel). I will always cherish the time we had with him.
My mom was able to get his military disability started and social security so he had a nice income.
Once Joan found out, she came back for him and they were together until he passed away. He started having problems with his legs and the military hospital performed an exploratory operation, where he set up an infection and they were not able to close his back up. He died a few days afterwards.
My grandmother is Myrtle Addison (maiden name)

Wife #5 Joan (last wife and was still married to her when he passed away)
I don’t know any of their maiden names.
Only children he had was my mom Margaret and her sister Mary. No children with any of the other wives.
