    • Mrs. Ellie Elaine Minton Childress, age 54, wife of William Cole "Bill" Childress of Crews Road, Moravian Falls died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home.

      Funeral services will be held 3:30, Friday, May 4, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie L. Murray and Rev. Jerry Varner officiating. Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 tonight.

      Mrs. Childress was born in Wilkes County, September 16, 1957, to James Lewis and Mary Martha Eller Minton.

      In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Minton and Randy G. Minton

      In addition to her husband, Mrs. Childress is survived by one daughter, Stephanie C. Minton of North Wilkesboro, one son, Michael D. Anderson of Wilkesboro, one brother, Keith W. Minton of Moravian Falls, one grandchild, Haley Sharpe.
