• Notes

  John W. Terrell grew up on Sand Mountain at Martling near the Albertville and Guntersville area. He came to Texas in 1884, stopping off to visit with his mother's relatives in Farmersville, TX. He settled in the Eurika community near Bullard. John's wife, Elen Lou, traveled with her parrents and Grandmother to Texas in a covered wagon. The trip took six months.
