Susan M. Andress was born at Danbury Connecticut, August 7, 1842 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Page, Near Fedora, South Dakota, September 2nd, 1916, aged 74 years and 26 days. 

She was married to J. N. Eller, and to this union ten children were born. Peter , dying in infancy, Alfred died October 6th, 1913, and the husband passed away June 8th, 1910. 

She leaves to mourn her loss eight children, five daughters: Mrs.Henry Page, Fedora, S.D., Mrs.Nancy Brokaw, Lebanon, S.D., Mrs.Ella Ostrander, Fedora, S.D., Mrs.E.M. Crane, Ipswich, S.D., Mrs.W.S. Doty, Aberdeen, S.D. Three sons: A. L. Eller of Cascade, Mont., J.W. and R.J. Eller of Fedora, S.D. Besides her children she leaves an aged sister and brother and also a host of friends and neighbors. 

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Glenview Congregational church of which she was a member, and the remains were laid to rest beside her husband in the Prairie Flower Cemetery.
