Lois Ann(Arrowood)Collins, age 79 of Hiawassee, GA formerly of Covington, GA passed away Friday, October 8, 2020 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Mrs. Collins was born in Hiawassee on December 7, 1940 to the late Earl and Lizzie(Berrong) Arrowood.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Collins; brothers, Ernest and Everett Arrowood; sisters, Lillian Taylor, Linda Hammond, and Leta-Mae Garrett.
She is survived in death by brothers; Eldon Arrowood, Elliott (Pam) Arrowood, Emmett (Dianna) Arrowood and Edwin (Mavis) Arrowood; sisters, Lannie (David) Ledford and Lucy Oakes, brother-in-law JT Garrett, sister-in-laws Joan Arrowood and Mary Arrowood, a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lois loved to cook, garden, sing, and dance but her true passion was children, she was like a second mom to them all. Even though she never had children of her own she kept children and loved them all like her own for many many years. She will be truly missed by all family and friends.
Memorial Service: Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 1:00p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Covington, GA.
