    • Cpt. John Terrell was in the Indian Campaigns in the West under Harmar, St.Clair and Wayne and was present at Harmar's defeat and at Wayne's great victory over the Miami Indians in the battle of Maumee Rapids, or Fallen Timbers 20 Aug 1794. (Edwin H. Terrell, quoted in Dicken, p. 198) Captain John Terrell was commissioned Captain in 1807 by Gen. W. H. Harrison. He was a Captain of the Scouts.
