Karon Eller Goble, 72, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment of the devastating Covid19 disease however her spirt left this world joyously whilst listening to praise music.
She was born April 16, 1949, in Concord, to the late Gilbert Franklin Eller and Eunice Hurst Eller. Mrs. Goble was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School and attended business school in Concord. She retired from Rowan Salisbury Schools and was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Faith. Karon was a pillar of the community where she served in multiple capacities. Just to name a few: church organist, director of church daycare, volunteer at Rowan Helping Ministries and various nursing homes, hosted social opportunities for senior citizens, planned events for the Faith Fourth celebrations, lead Creative Ministry team at Faith Baptist and even taught piano in her “spare time.” Mrs. Goble lived her life to serve God and others. Even during her last days on earth, she was sharing God’s love to those in the hospital.
Mrs. Goble is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tom Goble; son, Tommy and Andrea Goble of Salisbury; daughter, Kori and A.J. Johnson of Charlotte; grandchildren, Hayleigh Vaughn and Tommy Lee Goble; and brother, Ron and Judy Eller of Kodiak, Alaska.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 10, 2021, in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Faith, NC, with Pastor Stephen DeWalt officiating. All family and friends are welcome. *Out of respect for the family, and to carry on Mrs. Goble's legacy of caring for others, those attending the service are required to wear a facial covering and practice social distancing.
