  • Notes
    • Some time between 1753 when he married in Montgomery County,Pennsylvania, and 1761 when his deed for land in Rowan County, NorthCarolina, was recorded, he traveled with his family down the GreatWagon Road to colonial North Carolina. The date of his arrival inNorth Carolina is unrecorded but probably came a few years before1761.
