  • Notes
    • William M. Berrong (1866-1934) was the son of Wild Bill. The son was known as Little Bill. Moonshining and alcoholism running rampant in this extended family resulted in all kinds of poverty and dysfunction, resulting in Little Bill being shot dead by his own son Boniface “Bon” Berrong on April 27, 1934. Bon was sentenced to the penitentiary but toward the end was transferred to Battey State Hospital - TB Asylum in Rome, GA, where he died on June 22, 1954. [1]
